Sexual harassment is defined as unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature. Sexual harassment at a workplace is considered violation of women’s right to equality, life and liberty. It creates an insecure and hostile work environment, which discourages women’s participation in work, thereby adversely affecting their social and economic empowerment and the goal of inclusive growth. The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 is an act to provide protection against sexual harassment of women at workplace and for the prevention and redressal of complaints of sexual harassment and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. As per The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, an Internal Complaints Committee needs to be constituted along with laid down guidelines for redressal of complaint related to sexual harassment of girls and Women at workplace.
OBJECTIVES
- To Increase girls and women’s confidence by conducting awareness programme
- To decrease the incidence of sexual harassment women and girls experience in the college
- To increase the public Knowledge of what constitutes sexual harassment
- To evolve a permanent mechanism for the prevention and redressal of sexual harassment cases and other acts of gender based violence at the workplace
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY
- To develop Positive Attitude among the girls students
- To conduct Orientation Programme to new budding Engineers especially for girls students
- To enhance self-esteem and self-assertiveness among girl students
- To counsel and guide the students to avoid negative trends in Co-Education Environment
- To act as inquiry Authority on a complaint of sexual harassment
- To ensure that victims and witness are not victimized or discriminated because of the complaint
- To take proactive measures towards sensitization of the students and faculty members of the institution
- To motivate the girl students for placement.

ESTABLISHMENT OF COMMITTEE FOR SC/ST
(As per the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, No. 33 OF 1989, dated 11.09.1989).
AIM:
The Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) Cell in an institute promotes the special interests of students in the reserved category. It is expected to provide special inputs in areas where the students experience difficulties.
ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES:
The Cell may conduct regular remedial coaching classes on life skills, personality development, writing assignments and making presentations, as well as English and local language classes. The Cell also is expected to organize interactive sessions and informal meetings with students to attend to their personal, social and academic problems.
Guide the SC/ST students of the Institute, to optimally utilize the benefits of the schemes offered by the State Governments, Government of India (GOI) and UGC.

INDUSTRY-INSTITUTE INTERACTION CELL
About Industry-Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC)
Industry-Institute Interaction Cell is established to strengthen the relationship between industry and institute. IIIC pave the path to design the curriculum, align with industry and career development program to make student industry ready. It acts as a nodal point to showcase the best practices, and advanced technologies in industry. In addition, IIIC provides an excellent platform for students as well as the faculty members to march forward in parallel with industry by knowing their expectations from the graduates.
Objectives:
To bridge the gap between academia and industry to make student employable.
- To establish Centre of Excellence by industry to provide an opportunity to work in real time projects.
- To promote various collaborative activities by the faculty members and students with industry.
- To make awareness on industry trends & opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Promote the consultancy services by faculty to industry.
- Collaborative research works by faculty and industry person.
- Organizes industrial visit to students/faculty.
- Arranges visit of industrial people to institute and delivering lectures on advancements in technology.
- Signing of Memorandum of Understating between institute and industry/higher education institute to bring both parties strategically closer.
- Organizing workshops, conferences and symposia jointly to explore advance technologies.
- Involves experts from industry/research organization in curriculum development.
- Pave path for internship/project work of Diploma students in industry.
- Organizes skill-oriented program for student and faculty in industry.
